SEPTEMBER WORSHIP SERVICES

September 5 - Labor Day Sunday and Holy Communion

Wear your “work” clothing as you come to worship today. Our service will focus on God‟s work in us, preparing us to do God‟s work in the world to- day, as well as considering the state of labor in our country today. Scriptures: Jeremiah 18:1-11, Psalm 139:1-6, 13-18; and Philemon 1-21 Message: God‟s Workmanship for God‟s Work

September 12 - Fall “Splash-Off” Day; beginning of our Fall program of worship and education
Join us for a special Intergenerational Sunday School experience with Jonah and the Whale (see the Christian Education article in this issue).
We will receive a special offering in support of Christian education ministries in our Conference; we will dedicate the work of those who are serving in our Christian Education program, and we will honor a third grader with a new Bible. Today's message will help us consider what wisdom is and who has that wisdom, in the context of our relationship with God through Jesus Christ. Scriptures: Jeremiah 4:11-12, 22-28; Psalm 14:1-7; I Timothy 1:12-17

September 19 - Guest Preacher Rev. Cathy Whitlatch, Western Jurisdiction Mission Interpreter
Rev. Whitlatch will be in Klamath Falls to present the program for the Central District United Methodist Women's Annual Meeting, to be held here Saturday. She will tell us about her work as a United Methodist missionary and inform us about our denominational work in missions. See the United Methodist Women‟s article for more information.

September 19 - Cultural Competency Worksh
op after worship and lunch, Led by Rev. Cathy Whitlatch
An hour-long workshop on Cultural Competency will be offered to all who are interested after worship on September 19. The workshop, to be led by Rev. Whitlatch, will follow a simple lunch. Our church leaders and commit- tee members are encouraged to attend. This workshop will help us be aware of cultural differences and how we can work effectively through cultural differences, even among people in our own community. For more information and to reserve a place for lunch and the workshop, contact the church office.

September 27
We will look at how Christians can make a good investment in their eternal future. Scripture lessons: Jeremiah 32:1-3a, 6-15 and I Timothy 6:6-19 Message: "Investing in the Future"

Our worship service includes a special time for children.

An infant/toddler nursery is available during the service.

Children up through 2nd grade may go up to our preschool nursery after children's time.

Worship bags are available for children to use during the service.
